Stumbled across this light on my quest for lighting some new cool flats. Any thoughts?

I saw a RB article on it but not much else in the mix. Seems like a much more budget friendly light than radions or AI fixtures.

No control ability AT ALL however simply on/off power to the fixture.

Since it's billing itself as a " commercial" product it is probably 2x the price of normal.
Professional LED lighting solution used by some of Australia's leading coral exporter's coral holding systems and Australian coral farmers.

What would you consider for lighting a 2x4 flat? 2-3 orphek light bars? Even then that still is pretty darn close to their $600 asking price.

I have 4 of these flats that need lit so budgeting is key!

Black boxes perhaps?

Four of these:
First they are 44" not 36".
Lists at 1W/ inch but that is more than likely " system watts" and at the diodes probably more in the 2w range.

Sooo 44x 4x 2= 352 watts for $519.80.
Almost 3x the output.
You can add manual dimmers for $6 each

Bb's are more err efficient being driven constant current but run at about 110 watts total
Since most dim the " white" channel severely each probably only runs about 60-70 watts
$180 each
$360 for real 140 watts.
You do have the full 220w available

Now watts is not par nor lumens nor lux BUT until someone tells me they use quality CREE or Luxeon or other " top shelf" brands ( note no mention of driver/ diodes quality) I "assume" relative equivalency.

I will retract somewhat the more harsh criticism of price because it isn't err as horrible as I made it sound, just the lights overall is not impressive.
Come on no on/off switch even?
:)
