Anyone use a Canon EOS Rebel T3? Feedback please?

I'm thinking of getting a new camera and Best Buy has what I think is a good deal on a Canon EOS Rebel T3 package, I'm wondering what people think of them and if it's a good deal?

Those are great cameras. The glass is where you stand out. What kind of photos you looking to take?

Usually the stock lens are good for basic photography is what I should have said. Most of the Canon, Nikon DSLR bodies will be great but the lens is where the difference is made.

OK sounds good, I want to take all types of photo's, especially macro shots in my reef. I have a Nikon Coolpix P80 now and it takes great every day shots but I can't get decent macro shots of the reef with it.

I have a T3 and wish I would have gotten at least the T3i or T5i. It's still a lot better than my cell phone or point and shoot camera though and a great starter camera that I can pass on to my daughter when I get better at taking photos and want a better setup later on.

It's an expensive lens but I planned on upgrading to a better Camera and wanted to not have to upgrade any of my lens down the road. I also got that lens used from a buddy and he gave me a great deal on it!
