Anyone use a skimz calcium reactor ??? I need help.

Yes sir.
looks like it makes a close contact with the bottom.

Can you give it some more space or is it a sealed container?

That looks correct to me.
Next step is to remove the clear line from the bubble counter that leads to your reactor.
If bubbling starts on the 1 bubble per second that the problem lays there.

I would try to shorten the tube from the c02 regulator to the c02 intake on the calc reactor, if the gas isnt making it to the chamber on your lowest regulator setting, it might have to do with some type of back pressure.

It's definitely back pressure I just can't figure out what's causing it piece of crap is my best guess

I returned the skimz. I'm going to get a Geo you guys think a 618 would be big enough for my 300g or should I go with the 624 ? I have about 30 sps frags in there now. With a few mini colonies. I would say my total water volume is around 350g

I would go with the 624, the 618 is acually pretty small but itll still do the job. With the 618 you run the risk of maybe having to upgrading to a larger chamber in the future. Either way there both great

I went from a Geo to the SKimz and I couldnt be happier. Bummer you couldn't find the issue. Are you sure it wasn't the regulator? Couldn't you have adjusted it so that it bubbled at bubbles per min you wanted?

Yeah when I took the tubing off the reactor and put it in a cup of water the regulator put out the correct amount of bubbles.

It would only keep the PH low enough when I had the regulator putting out max bubbles even then it fluctuated a lot. If I put it any higher like 1 second per bubble it would stop making bubbles all together.

With no back pressure, I'm sure that wasnt a problem. Air could get through, correct? I noticed when you adjusted the reg it unleashed a lot bubbles. I would think the reg would be off on the amount its bubble counter. I have no experience with that brand either.

when the red light is blinking (which it is) the regulator is on. It blinks every time a bubble is suppose to come out. I can only assume air is getting through... It goes through when the regulator is set to max bubbles...
