Anyone use a skimz skimmer?

I am thinking about trying one out on a 180 gallon. What do people think about them?

I run the sk181 on a 150 cube and it was awesome. Love it produced a nasty cup every week.

I have the skimz 123 skimmer very easy to adjust and dial in and very quiet

Octa165i owner here! Love it. Great quality material, easy to setup and use, quiet operation. The only thing with mine is that sometimes it randomly starts vibrating like annoyingly loud. Last week it got to the point that I took it apart (it's only been running a few months), cleaned everything, and double checked all the connections. It seemed to work, but it still happens every once in a while. Probably just a slight defect with mine though.

I am worried about having to adjust the air intake valve. How do you know how to fine tune it?

I use a combination of the air intake and the outflow control valve (not sure that's the technical term, it's the gate valve that controls how fast the water flows out). Fine tuning is actually pretty easy. Air Intake for bigger bubbles, gate valve for water level. A word of advice, start lower than you think you need to!

I have the 201 and I have the air intake almost completely closed and I rarely adjust it. More often I have to adjust the water level.

I ordered the 201, so I will be trying to figure it out. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go skins or not but I feel I got it for a good deal since it was almost $100 off the retail

I run the monzter SM 122 and I couldnt be happier. Ive had it for almost a year. I get a nasty cup of dark green sludge everyweek. Very easy to adjust, just take your time
