Have any of you tried AF Power Elixir? It sounds like a good product at a fair price but I'd like to hear from someone who's used it before buying... anyone here given it a try?

I never have tried it but I've been very happy with the AF products I am using. I might just try this one for good measure.

I'm a pretty big AF fan personally but I still like to hear from others before buying...I think I'll probably give it a shot after I'm done adding a couple more corals

Any updates. Did you give it a go? I'm on Redsea AB+ but the results have been underwhelming. Would prefer a set and forget dosing option too.

I haven't yet because it was kinda expensive before but a new supplier here is offering it for a lot cheaper now so I might give it a shot now... I've never really known exactly how much coral food actually does is the thing so I'm hesitant to buy an expensive product but now it's pretty reasonably priced

I've been very happy so far. I'm not sure if it's because AF is a better product or if the ability to autodose makes it more consistently available.

In any case. Notable uptick in growth and colouration not long after switching.

Seems like it’s a doser friendly combination of vitality, amino, and energy.

the product label says refrigerate after opening though, and use within 30 days. So not sure how “doser friendly” it really is.

it actually says use within 30 days or refrigerated its good up to 6 months.

I started using Power Elixer because it's doser friendly and does not require shaking before using it.

I was dosing PO4 and NO3 previously but heard a talk from Ryan (BRS) saying that PO4 and NO3 are mostly taken up by algae (some by the corals) but corals mostly utilize amino acids. It made sense, so I made the change and stopped dosing PO4 and NO3.

It's been a few weeks, my sps look awesome, not so much algae growth on the glass. I am happy with the results so far.

Of note, even though Power Elixer instructions say to use the product within one month of opening the bottle, the shelf life is maintained if you refrigerate the leftovers.
