Instead of using ATI T5 bulbs, which gets really hot, I am thinking of using the Arcadia T5 HO LED. These would fit inside a T5 fixture but since they use LED technology, it would be cooler and use less electricity and also provide shimmer effects.

The thing I do not know is will it grow coral well, especially SPS.

I plan to use Kessil 360X inside a hybrid T5/LED fixture but using the bulbs from Arcadia T5 HO LED instead of the ATI HO T5 bulbs.

So does anyone use Arcadia T5 HO LED and what is your thought on it?

LEDs get hot too.
If you place a fan between the ATI T5 fixture and the water surface the heat will dissipate really well. That's what I do here. Works great! Those T5 slots are very important to help choose the right combo. I wouldn't put LEDs there! ATI is WAY better in efficiency and efficacy than any other T5 fixure in the market! It has a special cooling system that gives a boast to the bulbs. get that ATI running and be happy.

I have the blue Arcadia light, but I don't think they sell them anymore. You might want to check out this bulb if you want growth. I'm actually surprised there aren't more LED bulb options for people with T5 fixtures.
LED T5 Bulbs - AgroLED iSunlight Veg + UV T5 LED Lamps

Update: After four months the Arcadia T5 bulb burnt out and there was brown smoke on one end. There's a 2 year warranty on it that is well advertised, but no one responds to my emails. I've been given two email contacts from marine and reef and still no response. Frustrating to say the least.

I have 6 arcadia Lamps that have run for over 2 years over my planted tank. they work perfectly well. I have also found they do not tolerate heat. I tried 2 in an old gisemann combination fixture and the heat from the halides melted them but the retailer refunded me. The 6 I have now have been great.

I had mine with four ATI bulbs and one AgroLED iSunlight Veg + UV T5 LED. I would like to think you could run them with T5 bulbs since they are essentially an option to lower wattage and heat.
