Anyone use EVO skimmer in 2nd chamber?

I have InTank media basket in chamber 1 with Filter floss then Chemi Pure then Marine Pure Gems.

Would it be counterproductive to have my skimmer in the second chamber?

I mean I know it would probably be more productive to be in the first chamber but then the second chamber would be useless for anything. Any thoughts?

I don't think it would hurt anything as long as there is something between the skimmer chamber and the return pump chamber to eliminate any micro bubbles from the skimmer. Not that the bubbles would hurt anything, just don't look that great in DT.
