Have a bad infestation of digitate hydroids. Anyone ever use Hydrox to kill them in tank? How were the results and any casualties?

Link below. Thanks!

The issue I have with this is that there is no ingredient listed (that I can see). I might consider reading one of the threads recommending Fembendazole - or various fish that eat them.

If you look at the instructions - there does seem to be problems with corals with the product

I had the best results with the dry rock method: broke down the tank, put the rock on my deck to dry, restarted from scratch.

I tried about everything before giving up and I had no luck, even directly applying calcium hydroxide powder to the rocks as a paste out of the water.

After reviewing the website for this product, which is a little bit sketchy, I would still have tried it, given that the alternative was breaking down the tank.

Curious - did you try fembendazole?

I didn't. Have people had good luck with it?

Drying that rock out killed me. It was a mix of great barrier reef, Fiji, marshall and Tonga rock that had been in my systems starting in 1996.
Yes - according to some threads here. I agree with you the 'local' methods - if there is a lot - do not work. Certain fish do take care of them.

I have tried fenbendazole in tank before. Even overdosed the tank by 10x. I had removed snails and soft corals and didn’t really have casualties, although some of my torches are not the same as before. SPS all fine. Shrimps too.

They hydroids died, but only to return again. So frustrating. Tried it 3x.

You will laugh, but at one point I was taking rocks out one per week and torching the surfaces with a propane blowtorch. That killed them.
