I was thinking on switching to T-5's from MH's, but I am curious about LED's. I have a LPS( 80 chalices) & SPS Reef tank.Any input would be appreciated.

My thoughts, I run T5s over my 125 LPS system as I feel the LPS corals do better with a wider spectum and I use LEDs over my 200 SPS system as well as my 60 frag system

I would say 80% of my chalices hate my AI sol's. I have the majority of them under T5's in my frag tank. When they are under LED's, they bleached, morphed colors, and just weren't nearly as happy as under T5's. On the other hand my SPS absolutely love the LED's.

In my experience, most chalices like low light levels. Your experience above is probably due to the high light that the LEDs are giving off. Especially because your SPSare happy.

I have used the Evolution 120s for the past 2 1/2 years and mine have done fine (a one off bleaching). I am swithcing to the SR260 Vertex though as the lack of functionality iwth the Evolution LEDs. I will say that they have been very good. Just to first generation.

Thanks! Dave
