Anyone use NEOphos to raise phosphates?

Starting to think the issue with my tank is o or undetectable phosphate and nitrate. I kept a low nutrient system before with success but after my ALK overdose months ago I think the low nutrients are adding extra stress and just think its time to bump up the nutrients (plus was never happy with colors). I have been what I feel like feeding more lately but still have no readings for phosphate or nitrate. I was thinking about trying Neophos to boost my phosphate level. Anyone use it before and could advise?????

Or should I really feed heavy? I normally feed about a half dollar size of rods frozen food daily, sometimes I add some flakes and pellets in and maybe once a week I only feed the pellets and flakes instead of frozen. Should I just feed all 3 everyday and see what happens?

It's a fine way to go (as are many other products), but I'd do nitrate first, and see how that goes.

Sodium nitrate is a good choice:

Potassium nitrate is also OK.

looks like there is also a Neonitro product as well for nitrate. So would you think it or the one you sent me is where I should start or would I need it and phosphate? Just a bit un easy about either since I have never dosed for them, if anything I was doing whatever I could to rid the tank of them.

I use NeoNitro on a daily basis and NeoPhos 1-2 times per month when my PO4 gets to 0 or .01.

I don't know what Brightwell uses, but it is highly unlikely to be more pure than a food grade sodium nitrate.

As Randy said yes focus on Nitrate first. Every tank is different. For my system 1 to 2 times per month is all that is required for NeoPhos. Usually 1 ml will raise my 100 net gallons by 0.01 I try to keep my PO4 at 0.03 I dose NeoNitro 4 ml per day to keep it around 5.0

My tank has been fallow sense January 29th (LONG STORY! I'm on second 30 day round of copper in QT) so I don't have fish to feed at the moment. That is why I have to dose both products. The corals seem to like it.

Is there any info on using ammonia instead of nitrate? I seem to remember that corals prefer ammonia to nitrate. I have zero nitrates but plenty of phosphate so would need to dose specifically as well.

Was just wondering did a search but couldn't find anything solid. Do you have any suggestions for the sodium nitrate you recommended?
