I'm thinking about selling my mp40s and koralias and switching to an oceans motions 8-way. I have a 300gallon tank and am trying to clear up the clutter of having 3 mp40's and multiple koralias.. Anyone have any experience using either the 4 or 8-way? I figure that I already have a 5800gph pump I could use for the 8-way and was wondering if between that and my return pump, if I would have enough flow to keep detritus from settling and also, enough flow for sps?

Never seen or used the 8 but I love the 4 ways... It gives you great random flow granted you drill the tank in the right areas etc... You can do that or pick up 2 mp60's and be more than happy.... I would take the 60's just for power reasons alone I have ran both also... I'll take the vortecs over a cl any day.... Just remember that's 8 holes and bulkheads In The bottom
Of your tank... If one decides to leak..... You know the rest..;)

I have a OM Squirt and love it! It was originally on a closed loop system but in the interest of power savings I moved it to my return pump and capped off the closed loop system, didn't need another 70 watts power consumptions 24/7/365 when I was already running the return pump anyway.

That's awesome, I'd love to run the OM but have space constraints.
