my tank has gone dominant to sps and I'm not getting the growth from my sps that I think the t5 guys do. I'm torn whether to buy say an ati t5/led hydrid or maybe there's a way to add some t5s to my current setup?
Anyone use radions paired with T5s?

Absolutely there is a way. Easiest way if you have a canopy or look into getting one. Radion run parallel with the tank and retro fit t5 in front and back of them . Would be amazing lighting setup and I would be jealous! Controllability of leds and coverage of t5.

I have done this although not in a canopy.
I have a 4 foot tank with 2 Gen3 Pro's running parallel down the centre and 2 54W T5's retrofitted in the front and the back.
Tubes are Giesemann aquablue corals.They were installed mainly to remove the shading the corals get from LED's and they have done the job very well.
Growth is very good too

I use the AI Hydra 52 and I use supplemental T5 for three hrs. I set my LED so I get maximum color and for my peak time the T5 come on. So I get a large punch of extra light for growth. So I get the best of both worlds. On the plus side the supplemental T5 helps stop shading when the SPS get large. I have always been a fan of mixed lighting as each light fills in any gap the other light might have been lacking. Since i have a 180 i went with two of the below kits. I run two in front and two in the back.

I would adjust your lights.. This comes to mind whenever someone talks of adding t5's..

And I personally believe the wide angle lenses are really necessary unless you have some pretty deep tank. This eliminates the shadowing just about every single led light causes from the narrow angle light lenses.
