I'm looking for a cheaper par meter route. Wondering if anyone has one or has used one in the past. Want to know how accurate and ease of use they are.

I have one and used one to measure par and monitor my tank. To me, trying to use the Seneye to measure par in different areas of the tank was cumbersome. Trying to hold the meter while trying to capture the info on my iPad was a headache. It might be easier if you have help.
As a monitor I am not very happy. I found your thread while looking to see if anyone else was having issues with the communication failures between the Seneye and the application. I am going to start another thread to see if I can find some help.

I have a seneye that was purchase mainly for the par meter. As a controller, it fails in my opinion. However, if you need to monitor ammonia and ph I think it's a plus if it works properly. Definitely let's you see trends. But it's not going to shut pumps off or let you know of any hardware failure unless water level drops.

Ok it was purchased more for the par meter than anything. If it will show me ph when I need it great but I'm after the light measuring tool.

I did see the brs comparison video and wanted to see if anyone else had the same results. I did just purchase a seneye used for $35 shipped. I figured at that price If it does. It do what I want oh well.

ok so i received the seneye today and went to install the software to run it.....i guess i need a pc! all i have is mac, is there a patch or software for mac?

I am using the app to communicate with the Seneye web server on my iPad and iPhone.

Any way you can tell me how to link it up with my phone or tablet?

Yes I did But I need the sws unit to make it work. If I have to spend another $280 on that I might as well just sell the seneye and buy an apogee or something. I don't want to buy a pic either so that's not an option.

Did not realize you didn't have the sws.

Lol! I didn't realize it could work without one!

Yes you plug it into your pc and download the software.
