A guy on YouTube had a video on it and he was getting about 300 par

Also the guy in the video had a par meter and it showed 300 on the surface unless he faked it somehow

Im not even sure where the 30w number comes from in that math when adding up the diodes.

If you compare to similar sized lights like a prime or xr-15 you should have more watts based on its 24 diodes.

But since its only 30 i assume it uses older generation leds. Which do not have the same light properties.

My guess is the par meter was not calibrated properly for how the test was done.

-Go fluorescent grow whatever you want on the smallest budget.

-start with some lower light beginner corals and buy the aquatic life hybrid unit. Save money when you want to add higher light corals and add the led units of your choice.

Thank you for the help the description of the light said it hod cob leds that we’re supposed to be great but to be honest idk much about lights. I have been looking at the light that you recommend thought I might be too big for my nuvo 20. What are your thoughts?

I had a 165w over my 20 long. They are controllable you can turn down or hang higher. Biggest complaint i had was terrible mounting options. Its diy or from the ceiling.
