I am looking for some advice from anyone who used a Geo kalk reactor. I read the instructions and it states to put in 1/2 cup of kalk powder. My system will be dosing 1.5gal through a masterflex pump. Thats 3 table spoons a day or 8 days with each fill. How much Kalk would you add to your geo with success or is 1/2 cup the maximum?

I start with 3/4 cup of Kalk in mine with a fresh fill and then every 10 to 14 days I need to add a half cup more, based on the pH levels of the display over night. I try to catch it when the display pH drops over night to 7.75 -7.8 , and then I add more. Every 2 months I clean out the undissolved solids.
It is being used to keep the pH from dropping too much due to the calcium reactor, and about 15 gallons a week is pumped through it.
I used to run more and was losing impellers in the sicce circulation pump, so at the advice of GEO, I am keeping it to 1/2 cup to see if it makes a difference on impeller life.
