Anyone using a MP10 on glass thicker than 3/8"

Just wondering. Just need a little more flow in one spot and a MP10 would be perfect. Ecotechs website says max thickness of 3/8" but is the magnet that much smaller than a MP40?

i talked to them a while back and they said it should be fine on tanks up to 1/2 inch glass, they mentioned lots of people were telling them that they were running them in their tanks without problems and it would not void any warranty if you did try it.

i ran mine without problems for many months but then it couldnt handle it anymore. use a Tunze for that one spot

I might go that route. I found a few older threads where some people did have issues.
