Anyone using balling method

What is balling?

I could get in real trouble answering this with old timie definitions. :wink:
In our reef tanks from what I understand it is a method of dosing reef tank somewhat similar to Dr Randy Holmes-Farley's diy 2 part method. Only they use salt free marine salt mixes. That seems to be an oxymoron but is basically all the added stuff without the sodium chloride itself. calcium, carbonate, and mag being the big three. On "enhanced" method added small parts of a bunch of stuff I personally found interesting like nitrate additions.
But don't take my word and google it yourself. I just used the three part method in a tank balanced with macro algae and no water changes.

Thanks. I feel so inadequate right now for not knowing German. I follow Herr Balling's writings on a German forum but only after clicking the "the translate button". I use to sit and translate my hand Alf Jacob Nilsen The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium so I could learn the latest info. Now we can use google translate to get a faster turn around.
