Anyone using the Marine Depot Elite trigger sump

Anyone have this piece of equipment? Looks really nice and am torn between this one and a regular trigger system sump..

I actually installed a 36e a few months ago. Overall I like it. I only wish the drain had a compartment that then overflowed through the sock instead of draining right in to the socks. They would just be easier to change. But I knew that going in and bought it anyway...lol.

Cool man; looks great. I just placed my order. Thinking about using a varios 6 with it. No clue regarding protein skimmer.. I only intended on using one of the drop down pipes due to expecting only one output from my overflow box.. any advice? Will it work? I was thinking for the end to use it as a Refugium from a T off of my return pump / manifold. How’s the noise with it?

Sure, it will work with only one drain. Curious though...what overflow are you planning on using that only has one drain? As to feeding your fuge, the elite has a bulkhead built in to fuge area to accept the feed. I personally feed my fuge from the tank drain, but that's only one option. As to noise, I don't hear anything related to the sump itself.

I purchased a lifereef overflow. I have a 65 gallon tank and was going to use this underneath. Honestly I haven’t really been doing anything reef related in like 8 months so it’s all a little new again to me but I’m finally in the mode to put more money and attention and care into my tank.
