or information? i have a couple questions cant find too many answer for.

ok i got a hi fin goby and a pistol shrimp. shrimp didnt make it fish is doing good.

can i get more then one pistrol? candy strip perferred
can i get another hi fin?

maybe have a couple of each in my nano.

I'm not sure on doubling up on the fish, but in a small tank, the two pistols will likely eventually fight. If you were somehow lucky enough to get a pair, it might work (not thinking that'll be easy...). I've got one that's outlived two yasa Hashe gobies (excavates ever night around 3:00).

Mostly small gobies for symbiosis (watchmen, some sand sifters, hi fin and similar (Yasa Hashe, etc.)). The other fish in that particular tank are a cinnamon and tomato clown. Most 'reef safe' fish will be fine around pistols as tank mates. I guess that in theory, a pistol could knock out and kill smaller fish (not likely to be the symbiot, though), but I wouldn't expect it in an aquarium (unless they can't find any food at all).

im pretty sure pistols are nearly blind, so they are very unlikely to kill anything

Yeah, I don;t think they see well, either. I know tywo of them in a small pico, and there are fireworks. Coral Magazine did an article on pistols a few months back and took some live action shots and broke down the firing action when two males were put together. Interestingly fun:).

It depends which pistol shrimp. I had a carribean that my LFS told me would pair up with one of my gobies which was totally bogus info. I have a dozen pom pom crabs in my nano and i noticed some of thier legs were beginning to disappear. Well finally last week i caught my pistol shrimp red clawed. He was creeping up on my pom pom and chopping thier legs off and stunning them with blasts. Needless to say he is no longer in my tank.
