My wife sees how elegant the jellies are at Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco, then she sees a small tank of them in LFS... guess what she wants? Well, she's come to the conclusion that its too much for her to manage for a desktop tank at work. Next consideration is a small tank for a frogfish... anyone with experience on care for them and anything special in setting up the tank?

How big of a tank can she keep? My recommendations will be based on that.

If she can keep something that is atleast 8-10 (or more) gallons, then she maybe able to keep a small species of frogfish. I'll respond to this if she can keep something as big as a 10 gal.

If she's limited to something like 3 gallons, I'd say get something like this 3 gallon pico tank. Put some smaller pieces of live rock, a few cheap zoa frags, some pulsing xenia, and a piece or two of display macro algae, and then add a pair of blood shrimp and 1 or 2 hermits for movement. Give her a gallon of RODI to keep at her desk to top the tank off at the end of each day (mark the tank with a sharpie to the "fill line"). Then have her do a 1 gallon w/c every week. The blood shrimp and hermits will be able to live on pellets, and the macro algae will help oxygenate the tank, as well as absorb some nutrients.

Here's one I found on Youtube

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, she does want something small, less than 5g... 3g would be perfect.

That tank filled with macro, softies and a shrimp or two would look great, IMHO. The smallest of frogfish is going to need a 8-10 gallon minimum.

yes, she gave up the idea of having any fish. she's ok with inverts. so, we settle on the 2g kit... now, to cycle the guy. thanks for your suggestions!
