The snail in my refugium has a pretty dirty shell with a variety of algaes on there. I think i see some bryopsis on there too. Is there any way to clean the shell good to rid it of these pretty well rooted algaes?

Remove the snail in a small bucket of tank water and use a toothbrush to gently srub the shell. I do this during a water change.
Add an emerald crab. They clean my snails really good. Usually at night when they clean from inside. Not so much the outer shell though
It's like a chia snail. Fun. If in the fuge, that's where you want that stuff to grow. See how big a 'crop' he can produce. Like a little mobile ATS.
I thought about the crab but problem is i got a killer shellfish allergy (i know im in the wrong hobby lol) so the refugium wouldn't have enough food for the little crabby then i'd have to move him back up after.
Shellfish allergy wouldn't effect you unless you ate the little guy.I thought about the crab but problem is i got a killer shellfish allergy (i know im in the wrong hobby lol) so the refugium wouldn't have enough food for the little crabby then i'd have to move him back up after.
