What causes long tentacles on zoa/paly skirt? my armor of the gods look almost like an nem its fingers are so long. some over an inch. Esthetically its pretty with them blowing in the current from my wavemaker. I just want to make sure I don't have something way out of wack that is causing this. my parameters are historically stable. will run a panel if needed later tonight.

heres a lights off flashed pic of the AoG in low flow with the wavemaker off. not very flattering pic of them but displays the long fingers best. thanks for your time. Brad

Holy cow lol. do you have them in high flow? that can cause that .

yes the tank is high flow. 40B with a jabeo wp-25 keeps things moving in there pretty good.

Looks like high flow with low light.

High flow = longer tentacles

However, if they have a green center then they are gobstoppers or everlasting gobstoppers, my EG get like that with the extra long tentacles.

I keep a bit of sps on the upper part of my reef so high flow is the culprit. thanks for all the help.. they are AoG for sure. I will get a lights on pic up here when I get home. I like them with the long tentacles, adds a bit of nice movement. just wanted to make sure its not detrimental to them.
