Ap700 connection issues

I use the android app. Just checked and no issues here. You may need to reset the connection at the unit.

I had used it for months with no issues. Had to restore my phone so I lost the connection. Can't get them to connect to my phone, goes through like everything is fine but lamps don't show up in app.

Last time I had to reconnect had to completely disconnect my phone from home WIFI. place the phone a few feet from the ap700 with app running. Activate the ap700 WiFi and connect to the phone. Once the ap700 ID shows up leave the app on, disconnect from the ap700 WiFI and reconnect to home WIFI.

May take a few tries but hopefully that does the trick.
If not you may have to check with kessil. Good luck

I'll give that a try. Maybe even unplug my Wi-Fi all together

Took me about an hour of trial and error but once I figured out what was going on it was fairly straightforward.

Hopefully that's all it is on your end.
Good luck..

Yea no go, disconnected the Wi-Fi all together and still doesn't work. Guess I will call kessil, oh joy. Thank you for your help

Did you try updating the firmware in the AP700 via USB cable? There have been updates in the last several months that will probably help and in the least get you to a good baseline to retry connecting.

Yes, updated the firmware last week. I went through troubleshooting today with kessil. They determined the lamps are faulty and sending me out replacements under warranty. It's nice to know that kessil is there for you, stand up company. Thanks guys for your help!

That's great to hear! I've had two AP700 for about a year now. I had issues early on and I agree, Kessil was awesome taking care of me. Customer for life here!

Update, I received and installed the new lights. Still could not connect to my phone. I was able to connect to an I phone with no issues (I have a note 5) talked to tech support. Turns out the issue was my phone was on power saving mode. Once I reset to normal with no issues. Kinda my fault, kessil was great through the whole ordeal.

I have an AP700 and i have to reset it and start over every time i want to connect to it with my iphone. I also was not able to ever get it connected to my wifi even after talking to tech support several times.
They basically said it should work and good luck.
Kessil has a Great products but HORRIBLE SOFTWARE and support.

I think ill go with another brand other then Kessil next time. Maybe if everyone stops buying Kessil's for a year they will get there act together.

Just don’t try to connect through your WiFi access point/wireless router. Connect directly to the Kessil’s self-generated WiFi SSID. You really don’t need to mess with your light settings anyway. And if you must, set up presets in the app and then simply toggle through with the buttons on the front of the unit.

They truly are the finest LEDs. Don’t give up on them. Customer service is also top notch!
