I’m wondering how wide the mounting arms are for the AP700 and if they will fit around the 16” Shadow Overflow?

My tank is pretty far from the wall so hanging kits aren’t the best option. Hoping someone has one mounted and can measure he distance between the two mounting spots that clip onto the tank. Thanks for any help

If this is the one you are looking at, it will not.

I don't have it, but I believe the spacing is just under 16".

I know that most fear the black box, but for the cash, you could go 3or 4 ocean revive t247 leds mounted on the tank long ways. Overflow shouldn’t matter with them and they crank out some par. @cee had sps growing out of the water with them lol

If your set on the kessil, maybe think floating canopy, @Chriscrna has a sick one in his build thread, yours would just mount differently.

Thanks for the reply’s! I figured I would post a few pics of how the back glass looks with the overflow and the returns. Not a whole lot of space. It’s a JBJ RL30 so it’s only 24” wide.

I agree you could do a floating canopy mounting it to the wall above the tank easily I feel with any mount you get for the tank those returns will probably cause issues as well.

Yeah I may swap out those return nozzles for something a little smaller.

Someone above mentioned an 80/20 aluminum bracket. I’m trying to come up with an easy bracket or “tab”. Maybe something that mounts to the frame of my stand and loops up above the rear overflow box. Giving me something that any sort of mounting arm option can clip onto.

Kind of a bad description. Maybe I’ll draw it out lol
