This is the schedule we run over our SPS dominant 2'x2'x2' cube tank. Can anyone share their ap9x lighting schedule? I’m kind of struggling to settle on something I really like. I have them about 10 inches from the surface on a 425xl (mounted on a t5 unit!)
I have 2 AP9xs mounted 10" over a Planet Aquarium - 60" x 24" x 21". Can you please suggest a lighting schedule for a mixed reef? This is the schedule we run over our SPS dominant 2'x2'x2' cube tank.
Lighting Schedule:
0800: 1% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
0900: 20% Int 5% Color 20% Violet
1100: 40% Int 5% Color 22% Violet
1300: 50% Int 5% Color 23% Violet
1500: 60% Int 5% Color 23% Violet
1700: 40% Int 5% Color 26% Violet
1800: 20% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
1900: 0% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
Given that the 425XL is bigger, here's what I would suggest.
Lighting Schedule:
0800: 1% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
0900: 20% Int 5% Color 20% Violet
1100: 70% Int 5% Color 22% Violet
1300: 90% Int 5% Color 23% Violet
1500: 90% Int 5% Color 23% Violet
1700: 70% Int 5% Color 26% Violet
1800: 30% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
1900: 0% Int 0% Color 0% Violet
As far as the color aspect, you can change the color and it won't impact your coral growth. We use Kessil Logic to ensure that regardless of if you're at 0% color (all the way blue), or 100% color (all the way white), your corals are getting the wavelengths they need to grow.

I would start with the same schedule we're running on the 2x2x2 cube. Roughly, you're having each AP9X cover 3'x2'x2' on a mixed reef tank, where we have 1 AP9X cover 2'x'2'x2' on an SPS tank.I have 2 AP9xs mounted 10" over a Planet Aquarium - 60" x 24" x 21". This is awesome, thank you. I have a mixed reef predominantly LPS. I cranked up blue and violet but my intensity Ramp up is pretty similar. What are your thoughts on the Ramp up vs higher intensity with a shorter interval? Was doing some research on DLI, and the Coral lab experiement they did was interesting. This is the schedule we run over our SPS dominant 2'x2'x2' cube tank.
