I want to run my cooling clip on fan only during the lights on AND within temperature range. Looks like it doesn’t work.

If Time 09:00 to 23:00
If temp > 78 then On
If temp < 77 then Off

Or

If Time > 09:00 and temp > 78 then On
If Time > 22:00 then Off (no matter what the temp is)

Hello,
This is what I use...
Fallback OFF
If Tmp > 80.0 Then ON
If Tmp < 78.0 Then OFF

I rather have it controlled by temp then time.

It’s possible to do. You need two virtual outlets to set up the temp range.

Tempbelow77
Set OFF
If Temp < 77 Then ON

Tempabove78
Set OFF
If Temp > 78 Then ON

[name of the outlet of the fan]
Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Time 23:00 to 09:00 Then OFF
If Tempbelow77 = ON Then OFF
If Tempabove78 = ON Then OFF

Why didn’t Apex made their controller use AND and OR condition to make things easier.

I need the combination of light running schedule and temperature because my fans are blowing at the T5s not the water surface.

Just use this:

FALLBACK OFF
SET ON
If Time 23:00 to 09:00 Then OFF
If Temp <78 Then OFF

Easy peasy .... no need for 'and', 'or' statements or virtual outlets.

Good question. One of many I keep asking myself. I'm an industrial software engineer, used to a set of tools that are from an entirely different world. I accept that... BUT. There are some limitations that just don't make any sense to me. It's a basic boolean logic engine. I get it. Still, it should still be able to resolve AND and OR. Maybe even ELSE.

Oh well.
