So I am in the middle of prepping for a tank upgrade, going 120 to 150 gal, and wanted to upgrade my lights (would need to any ways) as I currently have a fluval led strip but I am currently looking at the Current Marine IC Led lights, as good price and overall like the features they offer. I noticed they have a controller for them and was wondering if anyone had any experience running them and how it would interact with the Apex

Not sure about the apex but I just bought the current marine ic led pro unit. 650$ later after I bought the light the mounting brackets (which completely suck by the way) and the wave pump I was severely ticked... first thing they sent me a reopened package with a busted remote control and one of the two lights was scratched up. Light build quality is really good for Price. 350$ on Dr fosters & care website. But it's impossible to mount it properly.. unless your skilled in diy mounting and you dont mind having a low par at the bottom of your tank then get this. But my honest opinion.. Get 2 ai primes and be done with it. The current led lights just don't do enough to suffice.
The only thing i would recommend over the ai primes is the hydra 52's if u got 350$ per light lol but the ai primes are well worth it, mine are coming in tommorow
