ok heres question... i have 2 drivers per channel. each set is one channel on vdm for a toatal of two channels(whites / blues)
do i need to have each driver with its own channel to get better thunderstorms? if not... whats a great profile for storms?

better to have storms set as a profile or ghost outlet?

What type of drivers are you using? If standard Inventronics or Meanwell you are not going to have "lightning". Might start by searching Apex Lightning DIY LEDs

I'm using mean well...the issue I'm having now is the ramp part. Seems like other code I have for blue sunrise isn't workin. I have them set to start at 10am and ramp up but it's like at 11 when they come on. I have them set for 60m ramp 10-11am. Why do they just come on no ramping????

i belive if its not a dimmable driver then they wont ramp and they will just kick on full blast.

+1

Look at the driver for the whites. And look to see if you have the same part number for your blue driver. If not they might have sent you the wrong driver by mistake and would most likely replace with correct one sense it would be their fault. But start by comparing the model numbers to ensure.

For apex and meanwells you need the 60-48d drivers. Right now Im running 3 drivers on 1 channel, 2 drivers on another channel, and 2 tunze powerheads on the other 2 channels all with no issues.

Sent from inside the shark tank!

all my drivers are dimmable and the same. im running them in to vdm. im having issues with one set of my blues... it keeps burning out.
i have the 5w crees. ive turned down driver, but im only running them at 60%. im thinking bout going to soderless just to make sure my connections are good. the other strings were replaced with sodierless and ive had no issues out of them.

A reason they could be coming on like that is it takes a certain ammount of current to light them at all. Now if they are coming on "full blast" it's in the code if you are yousing the "D" drivers you told me about. JUst using numbers here but the leds won't light at .001vdc @.001ma it has to be (just numbers again) 4.0vdc @ 500ma. So until your ramp program reaches that stage they won't comre on.
