Apex and manual water change

Having some difficulty with the manual water change feature with dos. I set it up using the wizard, tied it to feed mode D. I click D, all I get is a countdown but then the pumps don’t start. I’m trying to move 9 gallons of water in a 24 hour period, once a week.
I don’t want to do an auto water change because I’m in an apartment and need to set up the dosing lines to my sink on the day of the change.
Can anyone help?

Ive had a similar issue. It turned out to be something to do with the way they divide the amount of water over that 24 hours. i thought it wasnt working, tried it 2394782 times with the wizard and no luck. Later that day it started running out of nowhere. It wont run continuously with that amount so it might start 2 hours later. Try it with the max amount it can do within an hour and programm it to run on the next hour, it should start then, did in my case anyway.

sorry it's taken me a bit to reply. I ended up running into velvet in my tank and had to scramble the last few days to set up a quarantine and treat the fish. I appreciate your input and you were right, it just stretches it out across a 24 hour period with no way to really control it.

You can actually control the hours the DOS runs. You just need to go into the DOS schedule and specify the start and stop times. However, the DOS is limited on the pumping rate and cannot do more than 250 ml/min, and the DOS will always stop running periodically during the process to allow the pumps to cool down. This cannot be controlled.

The maximum the DOS can pump is 31 gallons in 24 hours. Here's an example of changing 9 gallons in an 8 hour period from 8am to 4pm:

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING. Auto water changes with an apex? i have been debating wheter or not to get one since they are so expensive. I can either get radions or a apex. Can afford both right now. Guess since It just a small 36 gallon and I will be upgrading into a 20 I should wait or can I control 2 tanks?

You can control more than one tank with a single head unit, but you will need more input modules, outlets and probs depending on what you want to control. So, more $$$$ You also need to spend at least another $300 for a DOS if you want to do an auto water change....
