Apex and USB cables

Is there any reason I can’t use a regular, decent quality USB cable for aquabus connections? I have dozens of them and would like to make use of colors to differentiate the wires.

Yes, AquaBus cables are standard USB male Type A to male Type A cables, and will work fine with the Apex. The only restriction is that standard USB cables longer than about 16 feet normally include an active repeater device. These repeaters are not compatible with the Apex.
