APEX/battery backup question

So I have a dilemma of how to set up the return pump.
I want the return pump to turn off based on the water level in my sump (done by the water level sensor.)
The problem i have is that my Vectra L2 is connected to the echotech battery backup. Once the water level falls the apex will cut the power but the battery will kick in is that correct?

Yep. You can put the whole eb832 on the battery backup and with the code keep everything off other than the pump. I found a post on here about how to do that.
