Parts:
RadioShack-PCB-276-150
EBay for the rest
Project box 85x50x21.5mm
4x2 pin screw terminals linkable
Minidin8 cord I get male to male
2 small zip ties
Some 20-24 awg solid wire
Solder
Prep PCB
Cut 2 corners out if the PCB so it can slide through slot in project box. Find dremel with cutoff wheel works best
Prep box
Cut a slot in the long side of box close to 3/16" once again cutoff wheel. Clean up with knife next is hole for cord my bit was 1/4" but what ever fits cord snugly then drill 1/8" hole through the pegs inside box opposite the slot these for mounting
Prep PCB
Note copper side will be down when complete don't want it to end up backwards. Lol. Bring the bits of wire from the second rows hole for 1-7 terminal back inside to the 3 hole sets and number 8 to the long runner in center don't solder yet
Prep cord
Do conductivity test on cord to insure color.... pin out is in comp ref manual
Putting it all together
Put cord through hole in box sliding all the way on..get it out the way. Now being sure not to pull any wires too tight lace through few holes to each of the jumpers on PCB the lacing takes away the tension at solder joint now solder all joints and clip wire ends don't put on the screw terminals yet. Notice how just enough solder to hold wires beside the screw terminal holes don't wanna fill them holes yet
the solder at the very top is the bare wire in cord I just used it for strain relief as well. Pull box up and put trough slot may need to tune the slot to fit but do want it snug. Once in put the screw terminals together and onto board making sure not to put the things on backwards turn over solder at this time you can finish the solder on wire clip screw terminal tips. Continuity test each screw with corresponding pin in cord
If slot was too big and terminals move around you can apply some hot glue around the board to stiffen up..
Mount with screws and put on lid
Any other questions just ask. I'm sure I left out something.
