setting up an old model Apex black label, brand new. Trying to:
1. Connect to my local home network
2. Update the firmware

1. The unit is on and have IP address. How do I get to the classic Apex dashboard since with the old firmware, there is no option for fusion? I tried to type in the ip address but can’t find it. I connect the base unit via ethernet to my home network

2. Trying to update the firmware, downloaded to my pc that connect via ethernet to my home network and when I am trying to update the firmware, the apex network is not visible.

I tried restart the Apex couple times. This base unit never registered with Apex since it’s brand new

Thanks for the help

You have a router on there that connect to your home xfi

You got to go to the fusion website as it doesn’t connect by itself.

Thanks, I connected to the router in my house (basically I use router for my whole house via hardwired Cat 5 when I built my house). If make any difference, I can try connect the Apex directly to my router (I figure should not be any different if I use the cat5 that I have in my wall-which connect to my router).

For Apex Fusion, I registered and in order to connect, I need a token that I need to get from my Apex display, but since I have old firware, my current Apex display doesn’t have menu for Apex Fusion.

Your apex display won’t show fusion.
Only on a smartphone or laptop.
Fusion is like a app

Yes on the cat5 cable, if hardwired that’s the only way to upgrade it.

I was trying to get the “Token” from the Apex display in order to connect my Apex to Fusion.

The Fusion Key should be on the upper right (if I remember right) on the Classic Dashboard when you log in from a desktop or laptop browser.
Also if you have the display module under System there is a fusion setup option, also on the programming list first page (where system is listed) is also usually the key

And yes, ONLY EVER update firmware over a wired connection
