Apex Code Question

Is there any code that will trigger an alarm for a quick change in a parameter verses just a set level. For example: if I want to be notified if my pH changes by more than 0.05 in 1 hour time verses just alarm if pH hits 7.8???

not that I know of. You would have to use virtual outlets if you can figure out how. The problem is that there's no way to essentially tell the apex to compare a current value to one from an hour ago.
