Hi,
My Apex started to fail and I'm travelling in 10 days. What should I do? I loved my apex but mine didn't seem to last as long as I expected. I contacted Neptune support but I'm not sure if replacing the base unit will solve the issues.

Should I get a new base unit? That's $540 CAD. This way I can still use some of the modules that are hopefully still working.

Should I get a Profilux 4 package? That's $1150 CAD. Hopefully a more reliable controller?

Any other suggestions?
I urgently need ATO and if possible monitoring and control while I'm traveling.

That’s not going to give you much time, personally I would be nervous about setting up a bunch of new equipment right before leaving on vacation.. Seems like Murphy’s law and vacations have some kind of agreement to cause mayhem ;)

Not sure I am following the question? The Apex unit doesn't have an expiration date - it lasts. Period.

Did you open a ticket and what is actually wrong that makes you believe you need a replacement? Water damage, salt, or some other form of damage?

Save your configuration before the unit dies - it will make it easier to setup a new Apex if indeed your diagnosis is correct.

Thank you radiata!. I didn't think about that.
Saf1, Neptune Support said is a hardware failure. First the display failed, now the base unit. That's why I'm not very confident about reliability.

What exactly is not working??? Neptune support remotely accessed your Apex, and or computer system and told you it was failing??

Yes. Hardware issues. It is an Apex classic. At first, PH and temp ports failed, but it was still communicating with the modules. A few days after, the base unit stopped communicating with the modules so I lost control of the outlets.

One of my You tubers had extensive issues with his power bar. He ended up selling his Apex and got this wifi bar of some sort from Amazon. He got fed up after sending it back to APex and they replaced the defective parts and the same thing kept happening.
