Just did an emergency move of livestock into 2 smaller tanks Does temp effect salinity reading? Tank overheated. Temp is 84 and salinity is saying 39. Is it really that high or does the temp cause a problem? Refractometer is reading 35 and I just calibrated it

yes that is why they have an optional temp port on the salinity module.

And as I understand it per the BRS video, when you calibrate the salinity probe you're supposed to put the calibration solution pouch in your tank water to match temps. Assuming temps don't swing much I would think it'll be good with that.

When was the last time you calibrated the probes?

It’s been a few months. Temp is down now and the salinity is down to. As soon as I started taking the temp down it started lowering too. I’m glad I didn’t over react. Thank yall
