I can’t find any documentation on this and its nowhere in Neptunes startup guide. Is this a 1link port and can I power my upcoming Trident with it? (looks like a male - male)
any help appreciated, I don’t have a available port on my PB832 and don’t wanna shuck out another $50 for a power supply, or $100 for a 1Link module.
BTW, what the heck is that 6 connector port for?

It is a 1Link port, but it is only to connect the DOS for its own power and data connection. It cannot be used as a source of power for any other module. You can connect the Trident or the DOS using an AquaBus cable and the $30 power adapter:

The 6-pin connector is to attach the optional DDR container which has optical sensors inside.

See my Apex Hardware Overview article for more details on every Apex module:

Appreciate that, I might just add a WAV/1link then
....weird I tried to find a similar pic in the DOS docs, but no...
Yes, I annotated that DOS photo myself because your question has been asked before, so I figured this would be handy as a reference.

Does a 1link module need to be added to the system to use the 1link cable to power the Dos?
A 1 link module or an EB832 with a free 1 link port is required if you want to use the 1 link cable.

You don't HAVE to use the 1 link port to use the DOS, like the picture a few posts up, either a 1link cable (which carries data and power) OR an Aquabus cable and included power supply.
