Has anyone replaced the peristaltic tubing on a DOS? If so where did you get the tubing and the ID/OD of the tubing.

I am hoping to be able to rebuild a pair so I will have spares on hand.

Le me see what I can find as I looked into this a few days ago. Yes, it's possible. I believe it was white silicone tubing from McMaster Carr 1/4" OD and 1/8" ID.

I actually just got in 2 replacement heads and I'm planning on rebuilding the older ones as well.

I believe this is what someone else linked to that they used. Full disclosure, I haven't ordered and verified yet. If you google "replace DOS head tubing" you should find the same threads I did. I think it's 5 feet for $2.51 plus S&H.

Sweet! Thanks for the information, I will order this today. :)

This is what I used to replace the peristaltic tubing in the DoS pump head. Also want to put a little lubricating ‘grease’ on the tubing. Also check the condition of the roller heads. Those don’t last forever either. I figure, depending in use, every six months for the peri tubing and two years for the rollers.

Do you have a source for the rollers?

The heads used on the DOS are off the shelf items (just in orange). GHL uses them for their maxi doser and avast used to use them. Got my spares from avast. $9 per .... better than $30 though.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was looking to buy this tubing myself. What sort of lubricant have you been using? I also assume you've still had good luck with this swap over time?

FWIW, I just replaced the peri tubing after 4 years. No leaks, but it looked a little worn. I have not had to replace the rollers yet. One of the orange drive covers cracked, but some tape fixed it.

That’s awesome. I have several heads sitting there after being replaced but I can’t find the tubing.
