Okay so my Dos has been setup for like a week. I filled both the Ca and Kh chambers to the level and programmed the Dos to add 4ml of each. Ca is to be dosed during the day and Kh during the night. Okay so I noticed my Kh reservoir becoming lower than my Ca. One day there was 1400ml of solution and the next there was 1300ml. I checked my Kh and it was 12!!! I usually keep it at 8-9. So I decided to take the dosing lines out and put them in a graduated cylinder to see how much it was really dosing. Well I just checked and the Kh was overflowing. I’m lost I don’t know If I didn’t set it up properly or it’s a malfunction. I don’t really feel like having my tank crash. Btw I did calibrate.

Thanks

Check the line to see, if the connection are all tight also.

Be sure the drip end is not touching the water (especially if you turn off the return pump during feeding). sometimes back siphon can occur if it touches the water.

Good point:)

But even in the graduated cylinder where the line wouldn’t touch the Kh dosed it still overdosed?

That's because I do not think its siphon issue. Whatever is making dos overdosing is either in the apex side or the dos side...
Hope you find the root cause, scary situation to overdose supplement...

Is it free flowing? Or just write NSG volume?

Do a calibration and see if it puts out the expected 40ml plus or minus.

Take the head off and make sure the rubber tube is seated properly. Check the fittings and make sure they are not cracked or improperly connected.

Are you getting air in the line?

Check that the tubing is seated all the way onto the nipple and that the nut is tight.

I would think the first step would be to call Neptune support. They can remote-in to your Apex and check your settings, as well as further discuss your physical setup in real time.

Redo your calibration. If that is the amount that was dosed when it is programmed to dose 4ml, your calibration is most likely off.

But start that ticket and support will help you sort it out.

I did a recalibration, a reset, and deleted the Dos and added it back. I will again put the tube in a graduated cylinder tonight to measure how much is doses.

Also wouldn’t that extra amount be showed on the Dos tile? Like where it says how much each head has dosed?

That is why I suspect it is calibration error. If amount shown dosed and amount actually dosed is different, then that is the most likely cause.

What were your calibration values?

Calibration was within 3ml of the 40ml. I checked this morning and the overdosing stopped.
