Hello,

I've got a very frustrated situation today with my DOS system. I dose every day 2.5ml of Cal. and Alk. each. everything is working good in AUTO mode. Today I've decided to add a little bit more and used the manual buttons on the DOS to do it. Just holded for 5 seconds one button then an other for 5 seconds as well. Checked the stats online and saw that DOS used 0.7 ml of each part for these 5 seconds hold.

Later I wanted to add 0.7 ml more. But i decided to try the remote control and activated dosing to the position ON:

OFF --- AUTO --- ON

In the Apex Fusion interface. Waited 5 seconds and switched back to AUTO and did the same with second part control slider. ON .... then back to AUTO.

A little bit later I'm receiving a message that ph is 8.9 ! I'm checking Apex Fusion and I see that DOS added 49.3 ml of each part, not even close to 0.7 right .... so when I switched back to AUTO the DOS didn't stop and continued dosing both parts on the same time. I can't understand why does is work like this it should stop when I switch back to AUTO from ON. I've a program of dosing only at night and I did this on the morning so why it's not stopping when back to AUTO, I don't know.

I did a test later again and it's true ... when you switch from ON to AUTO DOS doesn't stop dosing ...
KH raised from 8 to 14 instantly ! And ph from 8.1 to 8.88 ! Because of this doser action, it's very sad if this will damage my system, so if you're trying to dosse manually after you switch to ON, you need to switch to position OFF and only then to AUTO mode or it will continue dossing non stop ...

I hope it can help you to avoid same situation.

Corals looks all fine and some even more open than before, but I did anyway a 20% water change. I hope I will not lose any corals or fishes.

This happened to me as well. I was positive I turned it back to auto. Lucky I caught it early.
