ok I want to say I was completely wrong about wanting to know my energy usage from my Aquarium.

The Eb32 is so amazing I have spent the last couple days dissecting my energy usage and figuring out ways to save that extra Penny finding weird trends and so on and so fourth.

But I can’t dissect one thing

My DC return pumps run at 80% all day and night long

During the day my Vectra return pump runs roughly at 76 watts but when my refugium light comes on it runs at 96
My cor does roughly the same thing 73 watts during the day and 87 when the refugium light is on
The varios Skimmer does 41 to 52
The flow in gallons per hour the pumps push does not change (monitored thru the apex flow meter)
The Amps only fluctuate from .9 to 1
And the voltage stays constant as well so what is causing the 10 plus watt diffence?

Have you tried going a night with your ref light off to see if the pumps increase as you;re seeing? Wouldn't have to be all night but you could switch that outlet to off for an hour or two to see if the pump wattage increases with the ref light off. Then switch your ref light back to auto to see if under manual control, the pump wattage increases with the ref light status. You could also try this during the day if you wanted to flip your ref light on then.

It was ohms law more amps used on the Eb832 the watts had to go up

Did Neptune give you that answer? I understand that given a constant voltage delivered to the EB832, the amps drawn at an outlet will cause the outlet watts to increase, but aren't you still curious why your return pump is drawing more amps only when another outlet (ref light) has a draw on it? I was looking for something in the water chemisty/biology or even the water temperature when the ref light was on was causing your return pump to draw more power.

To be honest once I did the equation and saw the reason I kinda forgot about it and I just checked and it no longer does it I posted this months ago and I never got a response from Neptune possibly was fixed with an update or something
