Hello all, I have a faulty EB832 and cannot get any response from Neptune customer service. My question is, can I run my Apex system without the EB832? I’m planning on using a 1Link to address power needs. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Depends on what you mean by running without. Is the EB832 dead? No power, partial power via aquabus and 1link, outlets, etc? You can leave the Apex alone and running while you decide what to do with the EB832. Yes.

When you say you are not getting a response from Neptune. Did you submit a ticket using the portal? If so how long ago?

Yes you can run your Apex without the eb832. You will need to supply power to the Apex head unit with the auxiliary power supply.

A bit of an old thread. Hopefully the EB832 is all fixed now. I wouldn't be surprised if I did the repair for this reefer. I've been getting a lot of them lately.

Curious if you are seeing newer version of the EB832 with the upgraded power supply needing repair, or is it mostly the older version of the EB832? Both my original 832s failed within two years. I've got the older EB8/EB4 with over a decade of use without any issues.
