Currently running Octo (Reef Octopus) skimmer, return pump and 2x wave pumps, all are Apex Ready with the 0-10V.

Got a few questions and need opinions, (using normal retail price)

1) If I get the EL ($500), I would need to buy the VDM to use the 0-10V which is another $100, that would allow me to control 2 or 4 devices? there are 2 port, v1/v2 and v3/v4

2) If 4 devices: Do I just buy two 'Icecap Y module cable'?

3) Will Apex allow me to control 2 devices separately even if its on the same cable?
eg: Return pump and skimmer on same cable....When Feed on: skimmer off, Return pump at minimum power just enough to push flow into DT.

4) For Apex 2016, it costs $200 more but I won't need to buy the VDM module and I get salinity and ORP? anything else I missed?
subjective question I know, how accurate is the salinity probe and ORP is only for ozone right?

thanks guys

The Apex base unit and the VDM both have 4 channels of 0-10v. Each of the two jacks you see on them have two channels - that’s why some cables meant for use with the Apex are Y-cables.
