Looking for some help! At 3:45 this morning my energy bar 8 died, according to my fusion. Luckily my tank is ok, temperature only dropped to 72 degrees and my mp40's are on a separate power source so flow was maintained. But the issue is that my eb8 is just dead, no LED indicators, nothing. There were no power losses or interruptions at my house and the circuit the eb8 is plugged into works just fine, nothing was tripped. It's the newest model FYI.

Anybody have any ideas what this could be? Of course it happens on the weekend, and I happen to be travelling for work tomorrow for a week...

Did you contact Neptune? They usually can remote into your apex or give you advice over the phone. Excellent customer service.

Sorry for he delay replying. I've been away for work unfortunately. Thankfully my girlfriend is up to speed on my equipment and has been able to help out. It's happened 3 times so far, and yes it's an 832 sorry.

All I've gotten from Neptune was to check the aquabus cable for damage. It looks like a brand new cable, no visible damage. Everything is mounted up high so there's no chance for water dripping on it.

It was ok for the last week but last night it happened again, leaving my tank without heat for 7 hours. Thankfully I have my mp40's isolated from the 832 so my tank still had flow and everything survived. Temp dropped to 69 degrees though.

I feel like this is a ticking time bomb and I'm at risk of losing everything.

With everything turned on, I'm not even drawing 7 amps and it's supposed to be good for 15!

To clarify, it is tripping and I need to reset the yellow button on the back.

I would try manually switching all of your outlets and see if one of them is tripping the breaker. If you find one, move the equipment to another outlet and see if it is the equipment or the outlet tripping the breaker.

If you don't get a quick resolution, I would get heaters with built in thermostats and plug them into another power source.

I had the same thing happen to me last week. I contacted Neptune and they setup a phone call with me and remotely accessed my apex through my computer and fixed everything. All week everything has been perfect. Finally!

It only happens when my second heater kicks in, which is in outlet 2. But it will be fine for a few days then can suddenly trip, there's no pattern. Looking at my amp/power graphs, nothing happened out of the ordinary. Both of my heaters use about 2.5 amps each.

Plugging my heaters in externally makes me nervous, and was the main reason I got the controller in the first place (so many horror stories about cooking aquariums). The thermostats are so inaccurate. If I can't control temp with my apex, and have the redundancy in place, it's not worth me having... The apex ran me over 1000 bucks here in Canada, so I hate to throw more money away due to it not working properly.
