Apex - Energy Bar 832 Green Status Light

I just picked up a new apex on the 10% off sale last weekend and I'm working on getting it setup to replace my classic.

My second EB832's status light goes green while the other is the expected orange to match the color on the apex.

I can't find any documentation on what a green status light means. Typically green would be normal or good. But the documentation I can find says that solid orange like the first eb832 is the normal and connected to apex status. The firmware is up to date. And I know the unit has power.

Anyone know what the green light is indicating on the one unit while the other orange?

Bump. Also maybe I should specify. This is the new EB832 for the 2016 Apex

And after sitting on for 12 hours yesterday with a green led. Some time overnight it switched to the normal amber color it is supposed to be.

However I had to see if it was a reproducible result.

So I unplugged the power bar. And it is now green again.

So I have a theory on the green status light. I believe it indicates that the powerbar is receiving power and communicating with the Apex. But has lost power or communication within the last 12/18/24 hours.

The question then becomes. Why does the powerbar I received with the apex not turn green as well after being disconnected? Did they add this in after my apex was manufactured?

The power bar that came with the apex was about 4000 lower serial number. Assuming serial number also equals the number produced in the production run.

I'll have to wait and see if the powerbar goes amber again after some time as well as if I happen to notice it change color on and off throughout the day indicating something else.

The forum at Neptunesystems.com has some troubleshooting information about what to do if the lights are a certain way - and also a great place to ask questions. Go to the website 'support'. 'community forum'. Im sure you know this already - but in case not - good luck. My understanding is that both the apex and the EB should be 'organge'. But your amber may be my orange

Did you update the firmware on the new EB832?
