So the Apex seems pretty basic but something is throwing me off when it comes to setting up feed mode, and i have just been ignoring it and using the feed mode on my Gyre controller.

BUT if i have the ability to do all of my things with one button, why not?

What is the difference between Off time and initial off time?

To fully use the Gyre and Apex you’ll need an IceCap interface module.

Without that all you can do is do is cut power to the outlet for the controller and pump, just like unplugging and plugging back it. In your case looks like outlet 6 on your EB832.

In the pics above, you have control type set to powerhead. So it gives you the configuration for those times (initial on time, off time, on time) and they are sequential. This means the pump will be off for 5 minutes, then on 5 minutes, then off 5 minutes. Then it will repeat. So it means on for 5 minutes and off for 10 minutes every 15 minutes.

The feed timer A means that the outlet will be off any time that feed A is on. The feed time delay set to 5 means the outlet won’t turn on until 5 minutes after feed A ends.

Also you need to put the outlet in Auto for this all to happen. If the outlet is set to on, then it ignores this and just turns the outlet on.

I recommend not using this control type on your gyre. I’d use the control type as return pump. It will make the outlet always on but still give you the feed timer ability.

Perfect! Setting it as a return does exactly what i want! I don't plan on getting an IceCap as i have the Gyre's controller with everything set up how i want it, i just found it kind of annoying to have to hit feed in fusion, AND feed on the controller. but this works great! I appreciate you!
