apex firmware! PLEASE HELP!

Im at the point of breaking this hole thing.
The Apex flash utiltily does not work.
For some reason my file name is blank
I dont know what to put in there.
Please someone help? Get me thru this?

Thats what Im trying to do!
Now I got the file name working, but the network address does not.
When you press "update firmware" it starts but then it keeps trying to connect.....

You need to put in the network address of your Apex. Do you know it?

I know you are trying to upload the firmware to your Apex but did you download the new firmware from the Neptune website?

Got it! The reason is very simple! The apex instructions says to disable the wifi. I did.
When you press the the magnifying glass to find the network address it just doesnt. Is all blank. So if you manually put the IP ADDRESS there it work. I tried a least 10 times. So I turned the wifi on I pressed the glass icon it did search itself for the ip address and its all done. DO NOT DISABLE YOUR WIFI

Is this a classic or 2016 Apex? There are different instructions for each.

If classic, never install firmware over wifi.

never upgrade on wifi for classic. always use wired computer and wired apex to same router.

Thats what I did. But for the comp to find the network address I had to turn on the wifi.

How did you get the file name to come up. I tried to update my apex this weekend and had the same problem. I just gave up.

I went through this same nightmare this weekend. Wish I had found this thread then. I was pulling up any and all Apex websites , and IP address location thingamabobers. I finally just entered the IP address listed on the back of my router and tadaa it was done.

You need to press extract all files first

You need to press extract all files first

That is correct. Downloaded file is compressed .zip file and it needs the contents extracted first. Once files are extracted use file firmare utility and do the updates.
