Apex FMM and third party solenoid issue

I added an FMM, 2 water level sensors, and a third party solenoid to my 75 gallon RO container with the hopes of automatically turning on RO when it got down to 20 gallons and off when it hits 70 gallons. I got it all setup, and it was working fine, but I heard some hissing noise coming from the solenoid about 30 minutes after setup. When I went to touch it, it was burning hot and it essentially was boiling water in it. When I turned it over it water came out of it, and was boiling hot too. I quickly unplugged it. I am assuming this is some kind of power issue. Anyone experience anything like this?

I am using:
FMM Module
Neptune FMM power supply
Auto Aqua DC solenoid Valve 12v. ( bought the Neptune cable and spliced it to work with solenoid)

Obviously this thing is a fire hazard, and now that it leaks is basically trash. I just curious if anyone expereinced anything like this, and is it worth trying another one?

the power output on the fmm is 24v. you'll need a 24 volt relay. using a 12v relay you were frying the relay.

I was afraid if that. I was trying to be smart and avoid the Neptune one because it had such poor reviews. Bought the one with best reviews and didn’t even look at requirements.
