Apex FMM Optical Sensor Alternative

Does anybody know if I can use this Ice Cap optical sensor on the FMM module?

I am not aware of any 3rd-party optical sensors that work with the FMM module.

I was looking through the Ice Cap ATO videos and it seems like it uses the same plug as the Apex optical sensors plugged directly into the FMM

Just thought that if this works then people can save money on buying the optical sensors

I understand. But like I said, I'm not aware if it will work, and have not seen anyone else mention the IceCap sensor as a suitable replacement for Neptune's sensors. You could take one for the team to find out...

Yes 3rd part do work i Beleave,also I fooled my dos in to thinking it has the ddr attached with working optical sensors.

I have not tried, however, a quick look indicates that the plug on the icecap has three discrete connector segments versus four for the apex optical sensor. Does not look like a drop in substitute to me.
