Apex FMM

So got this Apex fmm off my buddy. It won't shut off when at the bottom optical sensor and sometime stops at the top sensor then 10 mins later alarm goes off and sometimes won't shut off when it hit top sensor just keeps going. I have tried resetting it. I'm lost. Need help

Sorry, I don’t have any experience with running them standalone. Hopefully others can assist.
